Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College (Autonomous), a Co-educational higher education institution was established in 1996 at the behest of founder HH. SriMushnam Peria Andavan, Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan Swamiji of Srirangam Srimad Andavan Periya Ashramam, Srirangam and inaugurated by the then President of India, Shri.Shankar Dhayal Sharma .The college is affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. With the continued support and vision of HH. SriMushnam Chinna Andavan Sri Varaha Maha Desikan swamiji the present head and pontis of the Ashramam, the trust board and the college engages to make men better and manifesting them to be perfect and good citizens which is the motto of the higher education provided at the college.
Srimad Andavan Arts & Science College provides a learning space to nurture the dream of every student a large part being from rural background. The college was recognized by University Grants Commission under 2f & 12 B Scheme and was bestowed with Autonomous status in 2014. Presently the college offers 15 Under Graduate Programs, 13 Post Graduate Programmes, 10 M.Phil. Programmes and Ph.D Programmes in 12 disciplines.

- Established in 1996 by the Founder, HH. Srimushnam Andavan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesikan to provide affordable high-quality education particularly to rural youth enabling social development and poverty alleviation.
- Autonomous institution affiliated to Bharathidasan university under UGC
- Nationally Accredited, SIRO approved and ISO certified.
- Extending subsidized fees, and scholarships providing with free transport to students from the villages and rendering free medical facilities
- The total strength of the campus in the year 2022-23 was 3900 students of which 2900 were from poor families in villages surrounding within the radius of 50KMs from the college.
